Maj. (Ret.) Petr Svoboda, M.D.
outpatient surgical and traumatological care
laparoscopic and classical abdominal cavity and abdominal wall surgeries
I graduated in 2015 from the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Hradec Králové and at the same time from the Faculty of Military Health of the University of Defence.
After my studies, I joined the Surgical Clinic of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and the Central Military Hospital in Prague, where I obtained my certification in surgery under the leadership of Prof. Ryska in 2021.
After my certification, I had the opportunity to transfer to the 6th Field Hospital and, taking into account the needs of the army, I transferred to the Clinic of Thoracic Surgery of the 3rd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and the Thomayer Faculty Hospital in Prague, where I worked until November 2025.
Throughout my time in the Czech Army, in addition to routine surgical care, I focused more intensively on the treatment of serious injuries and oncosurgery.
For family reasons, I decided to leave the army after 17 years and ended my service at the end of 2025 with the rank of major.
In January 2026, I joined Palas Athéna.
I am married, my wife is a paramedic, together we have participated in the international competition of paramedic crews Rally Rejvíz several times.
We have a son and a daughter. I am engaged in marine aquarium keeping and a Staffordshire bull terrier named Lupin Remus lives with us.
My other interests include gardening and console games.
